FAQs
When does the one-time $50 credit and monthly $25 credit take effect?
Starting January 1, 2022, free trial users will receive a one-time $50 credit just for signing up. Existing free trial users with free trial minutes will transition to the one-time $50 credit. Pay-as-you-go customers will receive a promotional monthly $25 credit. The $25 recurring credit does not apply to Music Mastering.
Is there a Free plan?
Yes, all new account signups receive a one-time $50 credit. No credit card required to sign up. The one-time $50 credit is available automatically upon self-service signup. The one-time $50 credit expires after five months of account signup.
Will my unused monthly credits rollover?
Your one-time $50 credit will be available for a period of 5 months. The promotional monthly $25 credit will not rollover and any unused credit will expire at the end of each month.
How can I take advantage of the monthly $25 credit?
Users who sign up for an account and become a pay-as-you-go customer are eligible to receive a $25 credit every month. The credit is automatically applied at the end of your billing cycle. The $25 recurring credit does not apply to Music Mastering.
What will happen to my existing trial minutes?
Our existing minutes will be replaced with our new credit system. All current and new free trial customers will receive a one-time $50 credit. All pay-as-you-go customers are automatically enrolled in the $25 monthly free credit. Free trial customers can upgrade at any time to receive the monthly free credit. These credits grant you the freedom to apply your discount to qualifying Dolby.io products.
How is my usage calculated?
Usage is calculated based on the types of Communications or Media minutes used in a given month. For each minute used, you are charged the appropriate price per minute. If you have promotional credits available, they will be automatically applied. To learn more about calculating usage, please visit our Communications technical guide or our Media technical guide.
How do I get started?
Once you have signed up for your free account you will find your API key under the “Default App” section. To get familiar with our product features you can read about each under our products section. You can find integration overviews and quick start guides in our documentation.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes, for your convenience, pay-as-you-go customers can pay with a credit card.
Can I add multiple credit cards?
All users are able to add multiple accounts but will only be charged on the default account they have set. Whichever account is set as default on the billing date will be charged for the prior month’s usage.
What happens if I am currently on ACH payments?
You will either need to provide a credit card to keep on file or upgrade your plan to Enterprise. Contact sales to learn more about Enterprise plans.
Is tax included?
Taxes will be added and assessed based on the billing address on file.
How do I provide my Value Added Tax (VAT) ID?
We will be providing functionality to add your Value Added Tax (VAT) ID to your account dashboard. You will be notified by email when this feature is available.
What is the billing cycle start and end dates? Can I change it?
Billing cycle start and end dates reflect the month’s usage in which you are charged for each invoice. No, you are not able to adjust your billing cycle dates.
What is the difference between pay-as-you-go and enterprise accounts?
Pay-as-you-go customers are billed to the set rates defined on the pricing page. Enterprise customers typically have higher frequent usage and receive custom rates along with priority support for their needs. In order to become an Enterprise customer, please reach out and talk to one of the customer experience members.
How are you keeping financial information and the transaction secure?
